Inspiration
In 2004, I lived along the North East Coast of England. On my regular walks along the rocky cliffs I noticed that the most breath taking views, were usually when the clouds coming in from the North Sea were heavy with rain. I didn't purposefully set out to make an art piece about this dramatic stretch of coast line. Only after completing the piece, did I realise that the inspiration for the artwork, lie in the latent beauty of the 'Seascape' 'Seascape' is made from layers of glass that is held together in a steel frame. Each layer of glass has been sandblasted, and this is what gives the glass the translucent weathered appearance.
